Publicity week

From the early 1970's the NZFKU and then subsequently individual associations, held national publicity or 'kindergarten awareness' weeks as a way to celebrate and promote kindergarten within the community and build awareness around young children's learning. Often these weeks would attract wide support from the community including from local dignitaries, and provided great media opportunities.
